Las Vegas Aces landed 27-year old 6-3 forward Joyner Holmes (college: Texas). It is actually her comeback to Aces as she has played here before. She played most recently at Athinaikos in Greek A1 league. In 26 games she averaged impressive 15.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 4.3apg and 1.2spg last season. She helped them to make it to the Greek League final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful year in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 All-Defensive Team, All-Imports Team and Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 First Team.
In 2020, she was selected by the Seattle Storm (WNBA) in the second round (19th overall) draft.
Holmes graduated from the University of Texas and it'll be her sixth season in pro basketball.
She represented the USA at the U19 Women's World Cup in Italy eight years ago. Her team won Silver, and she averaged 9 points per game.
Holmes is a very experienced player. She has played professionally in Greece, Israel (Maccabi Raanana), Italy (Sassari), Turkey (Botas and Kayseri), Ukraine (Prometey), and WNBA (Connecticut Sun, New York Liberty, LA Sparks, and of course LV Aces).
Among many awards, she won the WNBA Western Conference championship title in 2021. Holmes was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention back in 2021. She also played for High School for one year.
