Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire has missed two crucial meetings presided over by President William Ruto and his deputy, Kithure Kindiki—one held at State House and another in her county.

The governor, who also serves as the UDA national chairperson, was absent when President Ruto convened a meeting with all governors at State House on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
