Nigerian veteran musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up on what being married to his ex-wife Annie Macaulay felt like.

The singer stated that being married to Annie could be described as living in bandage.

While speaking on the podcast with Nedu and South African media personality Kifilwe, 2Baba opened up about being threatened in his marriage.

“This thing wey dem call ‘living in bondage’ is real. There were some people who were ready to kill me,” he said.

Annie Macaulay and 2Baba Idibia announced their separation in January 2025. The couple were married for 13 years and have two daughters together.

The singer publicized his new shortly after the controversial announcement of his divorce.
