He made the declaration during the News Central’s town hall meeting in Borno yesterday, where he addressed residents, stakeholders and security operatives on the state’s progress and ongoing challenges. He attributed the milestone to efforts in education and social intervention. “We have taken out from the streets nothing less than one million children. The statistics are there, the World Bank and the United Nations can give testimonies to what I said,” he stated.

Drawing key stakeholders and participants from across Nigeria, the town hall served as a forum for community members to voice concerns and share experiences, while also allowing leaders to outline strategies and achievements. Zulum highlighted strides in security and education, reinforcing the state’s commitment to rehabilitation and rebuilding.

Other stakeholders at the event shared accounts of their struggles since the outset of the conflict in the state, underscoring the need for continued engagement and support.

News Central, through this initiative, reaffirmed its commitment to community development and informed civic discourse. They added that the Borno edition marked a continued push by the media outfit to bring critical conversations to the people and promote sustainable change across Nigeria.
