The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has called on Ndi Igbo to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, emphasising that the South East cannot afford to stay on the sidelines of national politics.

The call was made on Saturday during the inauguration of SERHA’s Anambra State chapter in Awka, where hundreds of citizens received empowerment packages, including sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdressing kits, motorcycles, and cash grants.

Speaking at the event, National Coordinator of SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwere, urged Anambra residents to join forces with the Tinubu administration to consolidate the ongoing gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He noted that President Tinubu’s administration has shown commitment to the region through initiatives like the South East Development Commission (SEDC), aimed at promoting infrastructure development and economic opportunities for the South East.

Highlighting Anambra’s legacy of iconic leaders such as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Odimegwu Ojukwu, Sen. Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, Margaret Ekpo, Prof. Dora Akunyili, and Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Enwere said that the state has always produced trailblazers who defend democracy and good governance.

“As ambassadors of Renewed Hope, we are tasked with working tirelessly towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Our focus will be on grassroots politics and mobilisation, ensuring that every effort is made to promote the President’s vision for Nigeria.

“This administration is committed to improving the lives of South Easterners and all Nigerians, enabling them to experience the benefits of Renewed Hope and democratic dividends,” he said.

To promote self-reliance among citizens, the event included the distribution of various empowerment items, such as sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdressing kits, motorcycles, and a vehicle.

Furthermore, the National Coordinator announced cash transfers of N200,000 each to 100 businesses, N100,000 and N50,000 to 200 and 300 small businesses respectively, as well as N50,000 to 500 indigent families across the state.

“Our goal is to traverse rural areas, communities, towns and cities in Anambra State to spread the gospel of this administration. We must re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Enwere said.

He called on Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo to rally behind the Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged that the empowerment programme would continue to uplift the economic status of beneficiaries.
