Visa announces Previn Pillay as new country manager for Malaysia

Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments, has appointed Previn Pillay  as its new country manager for Malaysia. A seasoned leader with 18 years of experience, Previn has held leadership roles across Asia Pacific and CEMEA.

Most recently, he led Merchant Sales & Acquiring for Asia Pacific, overseeing regional and local teams managing Visa’s strategic merchant and acquiring partnerships.

Previously, as head of Digital Solutions for the region, he worked with financial institutions, fintechs, and merchants to deploy digital capabilities, including tokenisation, contactless payments, and urban mobility solutions. He has also spent over a decade in client management roles in Australia and Sub-Saharan Africa, in addition to working at Visa’s Asia Pacific headquarters.
