On UTV’s “United Showbiz” aired on February 8, 2025, and hosted by Empress Gifty, the mother of renowned Ghanaian musician Jerry Anaba, popularly known as Okomfo Kwadee, revealed that she is currently unaware of her son’s whereabouts.

This disclosure follows the circulation of a disturbing video earlier in the week which depicted Kwadee in a visibly deteriorated state.

During the interview, Empress Gifty inquired how a mother could lose track of her son.

Kwadee’s mother explained that although they both reside in Kumasi, they live in separate locations.

She mentioned that upon visiting his residence recently, she was unable to locate him.

When asked if she had attempted to contact him via phone, she disclosed that she had tried, but it appeared his phone was also missing.

In response to Empress Gifty’s question about how individuals who might have seen Kwadee or wished to offer assistance could reach out, his mother advised them to contact Angel FM’s mid-morning show host and DJ, Ohemaa Woyeje.

The resurfacing of the concerning video has led to widespread public outcry, with many questioning how such footage was allowed to circulate online.

Fans and industry figures have expressed deep concern for Kwadee’s well-being, emphasizing the need for immediate support and intervention to ensure his safety and health.

Kwadee has faced health challenges in recent years, including battles with mental health issues and substance abuse. Despite previous efforts by family and well-wishers to aid his recovery, the new video suggests that the artist may still be struggling.
