MASON — The Michigan Department of Transportation closed U.S. 127 in both directions Sunday evening because of an unspecified incident.

The state agency said on X, the social platform, the highway is closed between Barnes Road, Exit 61, in Mason and Bellevue Road, Exit 56, in Leslie.

"US 127 shut down between Bellevue and Barnes Rds. Avoid the Area," said Ingham County 911 in its own post.
