UFC Hall of Fame 2025: Nunes, Lawler, Adesanya-Gastelum bout inducted
The UFC Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was officially inducted during a ceremony held Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, honouring several iconic figures and moments in mixed martial arts history.
Former two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes and former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler were both inducted into the Modern Wing. The pair were recognised for their significant contributions during the modern era of the UFC, including championship reigns and numerous headline performances.
In the Pioneer Wing, Vitor Belfort and Mark Kerr were honoured. Belfort, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, made his debut in the UFC in 1997 and went on to have a long and storied career. Kerr, a dominant force in the early years of MMA, was recognised for his achievements in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The Fight Wing featured the memorable 2019 middleweight bout between Israel Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 236. The five-round war is widely considered one of the greatest fights in UFC history and was a key moment in Adesanya’s rise to the title.
Craig Piligian, co-creator of The Ultimate Fighter reality series, was inducted into the Contributor Wing for his role in launching the show that played a critical part in the UFC’s growth in the 2000s.
Charles Oliveira received the Forrest Griffin Community Award for his philanthropic efforts and community outreach in Brazil, particularly in providing support for underprivileged youth.
This year’s Hall of Fame class reflects a cross-section of the UFC’s evolution—from foundational pioneers to modern legends and cultural contributors—highlighting the sport’s growth and the individuals who shaped its path.
