Turkey - Galatasaray-adds-Bishop-to-their-roster-ex-Nymburk
Galatasaray Ekmas Istanbul (BSL) has added 26-year-old American forward Christian Bishop (201cm-100kg-1999, college: Texas) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He will be joining fellow USA player Fabian White Jr. who is already on the team. Bishop played last season at ERA Basketball Nymburk in the NBL league in the Czech Republic. In 46 games, he averaged 11.2ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.5apg, and 1.6spg. He also played 16 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he averaged 12.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.4spg, helping his team reach the quarterfinals. Bishop had an impressive season, winning the Eurobasket.com Basketball Champions League Defensive Player of the Year award, being selected to the All-Defensive Team, and voted to the Eurobasket.com Basketball Champions League Third Team. He also won the Czech Republic League championship title in 2025.
During the 2023-24 season, he played for Petrolina AEK Larnaca in the OPAP Basket League in the Cypriot league.
He has played previously professionally in Cyprus and the NBA G League (Sioux Falls).
Bishop graduated from the University of Texas in 2023 and it will be his third season as a professional player. He won the Czech Republic League championship title in 2025. Bishop played for Creighton University for 3 years.
