TrueNorth Raises $1 Million for AI-Powered Crypto Discovery
TrueNorth, a pioneering AI-powered crypto discovery engine, has successfully raised $1 million in funding. This strategic angel round was backed by prominent figures in the crypto industry, including the founders of LayerZero, SEI, Selini Capital, Virtuals, Plume, and Presto Labs. The platform, co-founded by Willy Chuang, former COO of the hybrid CeFi/DeFi exchange WOO, and Alex Lee, an ex-Temasek AI tech investor, aims to revolutionize crypto investing by providing hyper-personalized insights through agentic intelligence.
TrueNorth's technology continuously scans real-time data across various chains, social media, and macro and project data to deliver timely, high-signal insights tailored to each user's portfolio, trading style, and past behavior. The platform's agentic technology is designed to adapt to the user's style and behavior in real-time, making it a symbiotic tool for crypto investors. Willy Chuang and Alex Lee, the co-founders of TrueNorth, envision true AI agents becoming the foundation for future crypto investments. They aim to cut through the market's complexity with a generative user interface that evolves with the user, driving their intent closer to the outcome.
Willy Chuang, with his extensive experience in leading crypto exchanges, emphasized the need for tools that reduce cognitive overload in fast-moving markets. TrueNorth is built to simplify decision-making by delivering personalized insights that evolve with each user, enabling them to move faster with more confidence. Alex Lee, a PhD in AI, highlighted the platform's AI-driven approach, noting that AI has reached a point where it can understand context, adapt to users, and continuously improve decision-making. TrueNorth is currently in a closed beta phase, working closely with early users to refine its system.
The backers of TrueNorth, including Bryan Pellegrino of LayerZero, Jeff Feng of SEI, Jordi Alexander of Selini Capital, and Yongjin of Presto Labs, as well as Will Wang of Generative Ventures, share a strong belief in AI's transformative power in crypto trading. Their interests span key themes such as interoperability, data-driven AI models, algorithmic market strategies, and innovative infrastructure development. These interests reflect a shared belief in AI's potential and the principles driving TrueNorth's mission to simplify and personalize decision-making in decentralized markets.
TrueNorth, under Singapore-registered Advent AI, is working closely with its first 500 early users, known as the Truthsayers, to refine agentic workflows for AI-native investing. In the coming weeks, the team will unveil key details of its advanced architecture and agentic frameworks as it prepares for a public launch. The platform aims to deliver smarter, hyper-personalized crypto discovery tools to a wider audience, democratizing decentralized finance by making complex crypto information accessible and actionable for investors at all levels. TrueNorth is part of Delphi Labs’ dAGI accelerator, a protocol R&D lab focused on incubating and accelerating new Web3 primitives.
