Published 23 hours ago2 minute read

For a better Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has been charged to listen to Nigerians at the grassroots and make good his campaign promises. The charge was given to the President, yesterday, by the Senior Pastor of Harvest House Christian Centre, Ibadan, Revd Gbeminiyi Eboda; a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and former Attorney-General of Oyo State, Oluseun Abimbola; a Lagos-based business coach, Dr Olumide Emmanuel, and other concerned Nigerians.

Also, Fela Durotoye, a brand consultant; Dr Leke Alder and others urged Nigerian youths and leaders to embrace visionary leadership. They made the call at the Men on The Move Conference 2.0 convened by Eboda with the theme, ‘’Love, Equip, Align, Deliver (LEAD), in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The event, which was the second edition was organised for men and featured plenary sessions, panel discussions, breakout sessions, musical performances, raffle draw and a host of others. There were many syndicate sessions.

All the speakers emphasised the need to reset the country through the right leadership, stressing that everyone, including the youths, has a role to play.

Emmanuel called on Tinubu to fulfil all promises he made to Nigerians during electioneering. ‘’If I see the President today, I will just tell him to keep his words. Many people have the right words when they are campaigning. But most of the time, when they get it, they don’t live up to their words. Nigeria will change if we criminalise campaign promises. Once you make a promise, you don’t keep the promise, it becomes a criminal offence, you will see that a lot of politicians will not want to make promises again.

On his part, Durotoye urged Nigerians to embrace excellence and become nation builders, as great nations were built by those who wanted to do their best in their little ways. A brand and strategic leadership consultant, Alder, urged youths not to give up.
