1937: Arline Judge, who played Mrs. Hotchkiss in the movie in episode 106- THE CRAWLING HAND, marries Daniel Reid Topping. She married many times.

1962: At the Oscars: Daniel L. Fapp, who would be an Oscar nominee as cinematographer for the movie “Marooned,” (a re-edited version of which is in episode 401- SPACE TRAVELERS), wins a cinematography Oscar for “West Side Story.” Henry Mancini, a score collaborator for THIS ISLAND EARTH (seen in MST3K: THE MOVIE) and the movies in episodes 615- KITTEN WITH A WHIP, 801- REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, 804- THE DEADLY MANTIS and 805- THE THING THAT COULDN’T DIE, wins two Oscars for “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Maximilian Schell, who played the title role in the movie in episode 1009- HAMLET, won best actor for his role in “Judgment at Nuremberg.” Piero Umiliani, musicical composer and conductor for the movie ARGOMAN THE FANTASTIC SUPERMAN, wins a costume design award scar for “La Dolce Vita.” musical composer and conductor for the movie ARGOMAN THE FANTASTIC SUPERMAN, which was riffed several times during 2017’s “Watch Out For Snakes” live tour. He also wrote the “Mah Na Mah Na” song, which Crow sings a bit of during a host segment in episode 622- ANGELS’ REVENGE.

1979: John Peverall, associate producer for the movie in episode 1107- THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT, co-accepted the best picture award for “The Deer Hunter.” Les Bowie, who did special effects for the movies in episodes 101- THE CRAWLING EYE and 111- MOON ZERO TWO, shared a special achievement award with Colin Chilvers, special effects assistant for 111- MOON ZERO TWO, for the visual effects in “Superman.”

1984: At the Oscars: Douglas Stewart, who did the sound effects for the movie in episode 517- BEGINNING OF THE END, wins the best film editing award for “The Right Stuff.” Bill Conti, composer for the episodes of “The Master” featured in episodes 322- MASTER NINJA I and 324-MASTER NINJA II, as well as having composed that show’s theme music, wins the best original score award for “The Right Stuff.” M.J. Frankovich, producer for the movie in episode 401- SPACE TRAVELERS, received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

1996: Mike Nelson, along with Crow and Tom Servo, appear on ABC’s “Good Morning America” to promote the upcoming release of “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie”.

2002: The book “Life’s A Stitch: The Best Of Contemporary Women’s Humor” featuring a piece by Mary Jo Pehl, hits book stores.

2017: Kickstarter backers had their first chance (unless they attended the three theater showings) to see episode 1101- REPTILICUS.
