This celebrity-approved blouse trend will be everywhere this summer - shop our high-street favourites
We’re pleased to report that blouse season is officially in full swing, and if you’re anything like us, this will be music to your ears.
A powerhouse piece if ever there was one, nothing works harder than a chic blouse; easy-breezy but always polished, it’s the definition of a closet classic.
Which makes it all the more exciting when the fashion set starts to covet a new variety of blouse, which in this case is the tie-neck.
Not only were tie-necks (also known as pussy-bow blouses) seen on the likes of Emilia Wickstead and Marni’s S/S25 runways, but some of our favourite stylish celebrities have also been snapped out and about in blouses with draped detailing.
Amal Clooney teamed a cream ribbon-tie blouse with an immaculately-tailored navy suit on an NYC outing earlier this year, and this month Gwyneth Paltrow opted for an exaggerated take on the trend when she attended an exhibition opening in Manhattan.

The Goop founder stepped out in a crisp white shirt adorned with an oversized black neck tie, offering a feminine twist on the shirt-and-tie trend currently loved by the fashion set.
Another fan of the romantic, ‘70s-inspired silhouette? None other than Sienna Miller, who included a neck-tie blouse in her sold-out M&S collaboration.
And of course, Kate Middleton is something of a pussy-bow blouse veteran, often stepping out in the shirt style. In short: you can expect to see the tie-neck blouse everywhere this summer.
Slightly more sculpted than your average blouse, the tie-neck has a certain je ne sais quoi; it’s charming but cool, grown up but still playful.
For a touch of Parisian nonchalance, throw on with jeans and trainers. Need boardroom fodder that’s smart but not dowdy? Dress up with tailored trousers. Or, for an office-to-cocktails look that’s slightly less formal, swap the latter for a skirt à la Gwyneth.
There really is no wrong way to wear a tie-neck blouse. Versatile and quietly elegant, we could all do with a little romance in our wardrobes.
On that note, here are the tie-neck blouses we have bookmarked right now.
