The Truth Is Out There: has just announced a new '90s throwback set for , which is brimming with nostalgia for fans of the cult-classic sci-fi series. The model is truly out of this world as it features a forest UFO scene atop a brick-built recreation of Fox Mulder's famous basement office, complete with the iconic "I Want To Believe" poster on the wall. It also comes with minifigures of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, as well as Assistant Director Walter Skinner, a Syndicate Leader, "Grey" Alien, The Jersey Devil, and Eugene Tooms.
The liver-eating, elongating mutant serial killer, Tooms, is widely considered one of the most memorable "Monster of the Week" cases in The X-Files history. His LEGO figure, much like the character in the show itself, is pure nightmare fuel, as he is pictured creeping through a vent in Mulder's office. You would be forgiven for missing him since the bunker is suitably cluttered and disorganized. It features tons of references and nods to the series, including posters, news clippings, a filing cabinet (and hopefully, a yellow pencil or two on the ceiling).

As Mulder and Scully took America by storm on Fox, that acclaim drove the other networks insane with jealousy. Cue the parade of impostors.
"The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There" two-tier set was the winning concept from a recent challenge set by the LEGO Ideas team to come up with nostalgic '90s throwback designs. It was created by a user by the name of "WetWired," and will now go into development ready to launch as an official product. There will likely be some changes between the submitted design and the final set, but the photos of the prototype creation (shared below) reveal the huge amount of fan service that has gone into the build — which is estimated to have 2,020 bricks.
While Mulder and Scully reuniting in any form is an exciting prospect for fans, most "want to believe" that they will return to the small screen again. The X-Files originally aired on Fox from 1993 to 2002, with 's Mulder and 's Scully investigating unsolved paranormal cases throughout nine seasons, two movies, The X-Files and The X-Files: I Want to Believe, as well as a 10th season comprising six episodes in 2016, and an 11th season comprising 10 episodes in 2018, at which point Anderson bowed out.
The X-Files are set to reopen in a new reboot series helmed by Ryan Coogler. The project is not expected to continue the adventures of Mulder and Scully, but rather tell a new story with new characters. That's not to say the beloved FBI duo couldn't make a cameo at some point. Anderson has already hinted that she would be up for returning for "a little something something." Duchovny, on the other hand, has distanced himself from the new iteration, saying he views it as "a whole separate project," but as we know by now: Trust no one.
