The Queue: Here we are now, entertain us
Be honest, the idea of building concrete forts and arming them with laser turrets, then patrolling them wearing a suit of power armor sounds pretty intriguing right about now.
It’s the Queue and while I regress down the Fallout 4 construction vortex, let’s talk about some stuff you mentioned.

Q4TQ: I just heard about Dune Awakening the new MMO. Is anyone here going to be playing it?
Dune has a weird history with video games. The Dune RTS Dune 2 inspired the creation of the Warcraft RTS series, as well as many other foundational RTS games like Command and Conquer. As a franchise, the two movies released this decade have boosted public interest, so it’s quite possible (and in my eyes fairly likely) that at least a few people in our comments are indeed going to play Dune Awakening.
I’m not one of them, though. I’m busy making ever more elaborate concrete and steel forts to hide inside with my laser turrets.

Clair Obscur update:
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That will be all.
been a while since I had the story of a game blow my mind like this
Have you been able to stop hearing her as Shadowheart yet?

Ngl, the Witcher 4 tech demo looks absolutely incredible.
If it were any other studio I’d just assume that this was pre-rendered cinematic magic and the final product wouldn’t look anything like this, but that doesn’t sound like CDPR’s style.
I don’t really care about The Witcher but since I know Cyberpunk: Orion or whatever they end up calling it will also be an Unreal title, I’m super excited.
AMBULANCE ROBOTS
Disqus won’t let me show y’all any pictures and I want to show folks the mead I racked today. Also the fat snakes I found at work (wild snakes; we have reached the time of year when you’ll hear on the radio “I’m escorting a resident,” meaning someone is helping a wild snake out of a road/off pedestrian paths). I even got a cool piece of skin shed!
In other news, trying to use this week’s Timewalking to push a couple reputations to exalted before housing, in the chance they give furniture. It’s been a long time since I’ve set foot in Black Morass and I kinda hate it.
Also, none of these WW reps seem to count for the 100 reps achievement? Bull. Been stuck on 98 for so long, so it gives me more energy to push some of these BC ones.
My wife, a lover of snakes, is happy to hear about snakes being escorted across roads. Congratulations on your new shed.
Black Morass is indeed awful. Back when I was playing a Gnome Warrior, I had nightmares tanking that place. The water was deep enough to start my oxygen bar up.

Q4TQ: I just saw in my Steam games that Fallout 76 has a big update centered around fishing. At times I loved fishing in WoW. What games have you played where you really enjoyed part of the game that wasn’t the main part of the game?
Well, it’s never been fishing, that’s for sure.
But one of the things I absolutely love in any game that has it is transmog, so WoW, Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Cyberpunk 2077 and a whole lot more have been games I’ve loved collecting outfits in.
I love building crazy settlements and collecting power armor in Fallout 4, as I insinuated in the opening of this post.
I spent an obscene amount of time finding bedazzled skulls and using them to find other bedazzled skulls in Dragon Age Inquisition. It was a weird time.

Q4tQ: what are your favorite weird WoW history moments? Asking because it somehow popped into my head that, in the early days of fighting C’Thun, the boss would sometimes shoot its eye laser as soon as people ran into the room and it could kill the tanks right at the start of the fight. Assuming I’m remembering it right, that must have been such a bummer, but it’s kind of funny now.
I was a level 30 Warrior about to try the Warrior quest for the Whirlwind Weapons, a fight against a brutally hard level 40 Elite that I had gotten absolutely shellacked by several times. I was standing just out of aggro range, trying to come up with a strategy that would work better than all the different ones I’d tried already.
Just as I used my bow to pull him (yes, we used bows on Warriors back then) a level 60 Orc Warrior with Sulfuras rode up and smashed him in the face. Keep in mind, this was early days — most players hadn’t even seen Molten Core yet. For what I could tell, he’d been sitting there just out of my sight waiting for me to shoot the mob so that when I did, he could one shot him and I got the kill credit.
I have never forgotten that Orc. Thank you, Splatzpantz.
Okay, that’s the Thursday Queue for today. I’m gonna go play some Doom The Dark Ages I think, nice palate cleanse.
