Paresh Rawal’s unexpected decision to exit Hera Pheri 3 caught everyone by surprise. In an interview with India Today, Suniel Shetty also expressed his shock over Paresh’s decision and revealed that even Akshay Kumar is clueless about it.

When asked about Paresh’s decision to quit Hera Pheri 3, Suniel Shetty expressed his confusion, saying, “This is absolutely shocking. I first thought about texting him, and then I thought I’d meet him and would discuss it. I have had no word about it with anybody. Even Akshay is clueless as to what happened.”

He further stated, “This is a crisis. We are in the middle of this film, and this is the biggest shock. We were going to begin shooting next year. We had already started, in fact. We shot a promo. It’s a big thing. This is so shocking. I can’t make sense of this. And you know who sent it? Athiya and Ahaan - they both sent it to me within 15 minutes, asking ‘papa what is this?’. And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like ‘holy s***’.”

After Paresh Rawal confirmed his exit from Hera Pheri 3, speculation arose that he left due to creative differences with the makers, with some even suggesting remuneration issues. However, in an interview with Mid-Day, the actor dismissed these rumours and explained, “I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshan ji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because today I don’t feel like a part of it.”

The Hera Pheri franchise began with Priyadarshan's Hera Pheri in 2000, introducing the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty to Bollywood. The film's slapstick comedy, memorable one-liners, and the unique characters quickly won the audience's love, turning it into a cult classic.

The success of the original film was followed by Phir Hera Pheri in 2006. While the sequel didn’t receive the same level of praise as the first, it was still a major commercial success. Now, after years of anticipation, fans have been eagerly awaiting the third instalment. However, with Paresh Rawal's exit from the film, many fans expressed disappointment and urged that Hera Pheri 3 should not be made without him.

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal will next be seen in Housefull 5, which also features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and other notable actors in key roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 6.

Suniel Shetty, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Kesari Veer, which also stars Sooraj Pancholi in his comeback film, along with Akanksha Sharma and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles. The film is set to hit theatres on May 23.
