Stocks Reach 52-Week Highs on NSE

At 10:14 AM IST, several stocks, including Reliance Naval & Engg, Ceat, Mangalore Chem, Chambal Fertilisers, and Cura Tech, reached their fresh 52-week highs on the NSE. Concurrently, the India 10-year bond yield decreased by 0.41 percent, settling at 5.89 after fluctuating between 5.87 and 5.91.

The NSE Nifty index experienced a decline of 68.96 points, dropping to 24392.2, influenced by selling pressures in prominent blue-chip stocks. Conversely, certain stocks such as GI Engineering, Globe Textiles(India), AGS Transact Tech, Gujarat Lease, and California Soft(PP) touched their fresh 52-week lows during the same period.

Overall market activity within the Nifty50 index indicated that 16 shares were trading positively, while 34 shares were trading negatively. Top gainers in the Nifty 50 included M&M, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel, and Nestle India. Conversely, Jio Financial Services, Cipla, Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ, and Bajaj Finance experienced losses.

The BSE Sensex was down by 205.03 points, trading at 80591.81 at 10:14 AM IST. Traders were observed increasing positions in sectors such as General, IT Enabled Services, Services, Tea / Coffee, and Auto, while selling activity was noted in Construction, Term Lending Institutions, Agro Processing, Tourism & Hospitality, and Miscellaneous sectors.
