as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters. Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Sika Interplant(19.99%), Indef Manufacturing(19.98%), Oricon Enterprises(19.98%), Permanent Magnets(18.09%), Bharat Wire Ropes(16.46%) and Sree Rayalaseema(16.40%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 443.79 points up at 81442.04, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 130.71 points up at 24750.9.
In the Nifty50 index, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Sika Interplant, Oricon Enterprises, S S Organic, NDR Auto Components and Reliable Ventures India hit their fresh 52-week high, while Uma Exports, Lasa Supergenerics, Archana Software, A F Enterprises and Pulsar International touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
