Last year, Stephen King was among the filmgoers who wound up impressed after watching the harrowing movie Strange Darling. Now, Paramount+ subscribers with the Showtime add-on have a chance to check out the film for themselves on streaming if they missed it in theaters.

Even ahead of its release, King shared how he caught the movie early and thought it was a "really terrific" watch.

The film was written and directed by JT Mollner. It stars Willa Fitzgerald as a woman who has a one-night stand with a man (Kyle Gallner) that suddenly takes a frightening turn, becoming a deadly cat-and-mouse game with a fight for survival. Barbara Hershey and Ed Begley Jr. also star in the acclaimed film.

And for us, we were just shooting it the way we wanted to shoot it, and we shot, listed it and had a style in mind."
