The alumni of Volkswagen Foundation’s Humanities Fellowship under the Initiative ‘Knowledge for Tomorrow: Cooperative Research Projects in Sub-Saharan Africa’ are pleased to announce the first in a series of three summer schools designed for postgraduate students in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
The inaugural summer school, Community Engagement and Co-Creation of Knowledge in the Humanities, will take place at Addis Ababa University from December 15 to 21, 2025. It aims to explore the intersection between community engagement and collaborative knowledge production in the humanities.

Target Audience
- Early-career researchers, including PhD students and Postdocs, with a background in the humanities, social sciences, Engineering, and Natural Sciences.
