The conference, organized by ASIS International Lagos Chapter 206, is expected to draw over 500 participants daily, including CEOs, chief security officers (CSOs), military and intelligence leaders, risk consultants, policymakers, and technology innovators from countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, and Cameroon.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos yesterday, Chairman of ASIS Lagos Chapter 206, Adedeji Oduba, described the upcoming event as a critical platform for collaboration and strategic dialogue on Africa’s complex security challenges.
“SASCON 2025 will bring together Africa’s brightest minds in physical and industrial security, cyber-security, intelligence, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection.
“This is more than a conference, it is a regional platform for bold conversations, innovation, and joint solutions,”Oduba said.
Themed “Strategic Approaches to Security in Complex Africa,” the two-day conference will feature high-level keynote addresses from global and local security leaders, interactive panel discussions on terrorism, border security, fintech-related risks, and cyber threats, as well as a cutting-edge technology exhibition.
The organizers said the event would also offer extensive networking opportunities with key decision-makers and solution providers, and help strengthen regional cooperation on security matters.
“In an era of rapidly evolving threats and shifting socio-political dynamics, the need for multi-dimensional, adaptive security strategies has never been more urgent.
“SASCON 2025 is poised to help shape the future of security in Sub-Saharan Africa”, Oduba added.
The conference will also promote the advancement of professional standards and best practices in security through the ASIS International framework.
