Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, unveiled a series of infrastructural projects in Ibeju-Lekki, describing them as evidence of his administration’s commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance.

Among the projects were the newly paved 400-metre Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Road, the groundbreaking of a new housing estate, the official opening of the newly constructed administrative block named “Bola Ahmed Tinubu House”, and the completion of a modern legislative building.

The projects were facilitated by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, led by the chairman, Abdullahi Olowa.

Addressing the crowd, Sanwo-Olu said the projects demonstrated what transformational leadership could achieve when the government collaborated with the people.

He said, “To the good people of Ibeju-Lekki, these impactful projects underscore our administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development and responsive governance at the grassroots level.

“This moment reflects the progress that we’ve made and the true spirit of the team’s agenda, the power of purposeful and transformational leadership that is driving Lagos State forward.

“Ibeju-Lekki has always held a special place in our vision for a greater Lagos, and we’re happy to come into your community today. It’s a community that continues to thrive and do well. Every citizen enjoys it, and we can see the dividends of good governance.

“Today, we are unveiling projects we believe have been a collaborative effort of government, partners and the resilient people of this community, including your newly completed administrative block, which your chairman has done a good job of completing and aptly naming it Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Building.”

The governor noted that the President continued to receive accolades and recognition even while far away in Abuja.

The governor hailed the council chairman for the initiatives.

“I’ve also handed over the completed legislative building, which is just down the road. It’s well-built, well-furnished, and well-put together.

“It’s only a forward-looking man who will remember his legislative arm, and he has made a place where the councillors can also sit in a befitting environment to conduct the business of government.

“I want to thank you and congratulate you for this laudable achievement again.”
