Salman Khan had the audience in splits at the Sitaare Zameen Par premiere with his signature wit. Attending the event to support his longtime friend Aamir Khan, the superstar jokingly remarked that Aamir had initially offered him the film’s script before eventually choosing to take on the project himself.

Speaking to the paparazzi on the red carpet, Salman said, “Isne story nahi bataayi na picture ki? Isne mere ko bulaya tha ye subject dekhne ke liye… main chala gaya mujhe bahut achi lagi picture… maine haan bhi keh di… mere ko phone aata hai ki, ‘main kar raha hu picture.’ Maine itni tareef kari ye picture ke baare mein ki Aamir main phaad dunga iss picture mein….it is outstanding.”

Playfully teasing Aamir’s personal life, Salman added, “He also said he really liked the film, but at that time he wasn’t working—he had some load... scripting... paperwork to deal with.” The crowd laughed, taking it as a gentle nod to Aamir’s divorce from Kiran Rao.

Salman went on to recall, “So I said it’s a great film and I want to do it, then I got a call saying… Also, he had told me earlier that he’d already done it and thought it would suit me.” Aamir, showing his usual good humour, jumped in and said, “Aisa ho sakta ki wo haan bole aur main beech mein aaun?"

The event also had its share of heartfelt moments. Shah Rukh Khan made a surprise appearance, winning hearts with his warm and affectionate interactions with the specially-abled children featured in the film. Dressed casually, he hugged, laughed, and posed with the young cast, spreading joy and kindness throughout.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par serves as a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par, highlighting the emotional journeys of nine neurodivergent children. Centered on themes of inclusion, empathy, and resilience, the film is set to resonate deeply with audiences.

The premiere also saw the red carpet debut of Aamir’s partner, Gauri Spratt. Other celebrities in attendance included Vicky Kaushal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Tiger Shroff, and Riteish Deshmukh, all showing their support for this meaningful film.
