Salman Khan had fans waiting in anticipation for his patriotic drama Battle of Galwan when he dropped the intriguing first look. Now, according to the latest buzz, the film is expected to move into production soon.
Just days after the actor dropped his first look from the film, reports state that the makers are all set to commence shooting this August, with the first schedule reportedly kicking off in Ladakh. According to a report by Bollywood Bubble, the shoot is expected to commence up north, and subsequently move to Mumbai and Kashmir for the next schedules.
Dropping the first glimpse, gave a look at Salman in a rugged, bloodied and bruised avatar, sporting an army uniform with a barbed-wired stick in his hand. The clip shared via his official Instagram handle, featured text that read, “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is ready for the most powerful story of modern India. #BattleOfGalwan motion poster out now!"The film is reportedly inspired by the real-life Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops in June 2020.
Taking place at an altitude of over 15,000 feet in Ladakh, the deadly hand-to-hand conflict marked one of the most intense border fights in over four decades, without a single bullet fired due to bilateral agreements. According to reports, the film aims to portray this rarely-seen chapter of the Indian army in battle. Touted to be a tribute to the valour of the Indian armed forces, the story highlights the brutal realities of defending the nation in extreme terrain and weather.
Meanwhile, Salman continues to juggle his film schedule which has sequels to fan favourite films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, and Andaz Apna Apna, currently in various stages of development. There has also been buzz about his potential collaborations on an action film titled Ganga Ram with Sanjay Dutt and a family drama with long-time collaborator Sooraj Barjatya.
