Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Sunday, June 29, 2025, made a strong case for President William Ruto’s re-election, arguing that the president has outperformed expectations within just two and a half years in office.

Addressing a gathering at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu, Duale praised Ruto’s leadership, saying his administration has delivered more tangible results than some governments have in a full decade.

“Kama Kibaki alipewa kumi, Mkenya mwingine atapewa kumi yake… William Ruto has performed in two and a half years … Tutamchagua William Ruto two term kwa sababu amefanya kazi,” he said, drawing parallels to former President Mwai Kibaki’s tenure.

(Translation: If Kibaki was given ten years, another Kenyan deserves his ten as well… William Ruto has achieved a lot in two and a half years… We will re-elect William Ruto for a second term because he has delivered.)

Duale credited Ruto’s presidency with driving significant national progress, pointing to improvements in agriculture, healthcare, industry, and economic stability. He noted that farmers now have access to affordable fertilizer, sugar factories have been revived, and the Social Health Authority (SHA) is operational.

“Leo SHA inafanya, wakulima wamepata mbolea, viwanda ya sukari imefufuliwa, uchumi ya nchi imekuwa stable,” he said.

(Today, the Social Health Authority is working, farmers have received fertilizer, sugar factories have been revived, and the country’s economy has stabilized,)

He reiterated: “William Ruto has performed in two and a half years… na tutamchagua two term kwa sababu amefanya kazi.”

Duale called on Kenyans to judge Ruto by his track record, not political rhetoric, and asked for more help to keep the country on the path of progress.
