RCB skipper Rajat Patidar fined Rs 24 lakh for slow over rate against SRH

) on Saturday fined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar for his team's slow over rate during last night's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Lucknow.This marked the team's second offence in the 2025 season and therefore the skipper has been fined of Rs 24 lakh. Meanwhile, the rest of the members of the Playing XI, including the Impact Player, were each individually fined either Rs 6 lakh or 25 per cent of their respective match fees, whichever is lesser.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins, too, has been fined Rs 12 lakh since it was his team's first offence of the season.

"As it was his team’s first offence of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Cummins was fined INR 12 Lakh," the IPL said.

Coming to the match, in a commanding performance, SRH defeated RCB by 42 runs in the IPL on Friday in Lucknow. SRH set a target of 232 runs, finishing their innings at 231/6, with Ishan Kishan leading the way with an impressive 94- off 48 balls. Pat Cummins was the standout bowler for SRH, taking 3 wickets for 28 runs, while Romario Shepherd was the pick for RCB with 2/14.

Following this match, qualified RCB remains third in the points table with 17 points, while SRH is eighth with 10 points.
