PEOPLE caught up with the former James Bond actor, 71, on Thursday, April 3 for Clooney’s Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck.
Brosnan, 71, shared why he's a fan of the 63-year-old Oscar winner.
“Love the man. Love George,” Brosnan said of his friendship with the Ocean’s 11 star. “Really love his movies. Love his style. Love the way he conducts himself, he’s got such class.”
“And he’s so gosh darn confident, and so handsome,” Brosnan gushed, before cheekily adding, “And now I’m getting annoyed.”
Brosnan’s wife, Keely Shaye Smith, quickly noted that Clooney is also “a great philanthropist.”
Brosnan continued by listing another one of Clooney accolades, “And he’s on Broadway.”
Smith, 61, chimed in to add, “And he advocates for the underdogs. He’s political. [We’re] great fans.”
“[We] wish him well in every way possible,” Brosnan concluded.

Clooney stars as Murrow in the stage adaptation of the hit 2005 movie about CBS news journalist Edward R. Murrow's legendary 1954 exposé on Sen. Joseph McCarthy. The play is directed by Tony winner David Cromer.
But Clooney isn't just the lead in the new play, he also co-wrote the drama with Grant Heslov.
The two previously collaborated on the film's screenplay, nabbing a Best Original Screenplay Oscar nomination in the process. Clooney was also nominated that year for directing Good Night, and Good Luck, and the film was also nominated for Best Picture. That same year, Clooney won an Oscar — but for his supporting acting work in Syriana.
