Peppa Pig fans, the wait is over! The new little piglet has made her debut, as her birth was revealed on Peppa Pig’s Instagram page on May 20, 2025.

“On this joyous of days, we announce the birth of our sweet baby girl!” a caption on a post reads along with a video of a town crier announcing the adorable news.

In the meantime, the U.K.’s Good Morning Britain revealed the little pig was born at Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Yep, that’s the same hospital where Kate Middleton gave birth to her three kids—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

The new character’s name was also shared: Evie. And there's a sweet story behind it, too. "It was quite a process to find the perfect name, let me tell you," Mummy Pig told People. "But Evie is a perfect fit—it was the name of my Great Aunt, and our little one's eyes just lit up when we first suggested it, like she knew it was her name already."

Here are some more details of this baby name.

Fans will see little Evie on the big screen when the cinema experience, Peppa Meets the Baby, is released on May 30, 2025. The hour-long feature will appear in more than 2,600 theaters across 14 countries, and will include 10 new episodes of Peppa Pig. Plus, there will be six new songs and music videos.

We'll also get to see how Peppa and her brother, George, handle having a new sibling. They'll be dealing with some big emotions, including  joy, excitement, jealousy, and confusion, which is normal when a family welcome a new baby.
