Pakistan Confirms China Intel Sharing on India

Pakistan's defence minister, Khawaja Asif, recently confirmed that China is providing intelligence inputs on India to Islamabad. In an interview, Asif stated that such intelligence sharing is a common practice among friendly nations, particularly since China also has its own disputes with India. He emphasized that it is 'very normal' for close countries to share information that could pose a threat to either nation, indicating the strategic alignment between Pakistan and China regarding India.
Asif also revealed that Pakistan has been on high alert for over a month, maintaining its guard since a 'short conflict' with India. He affirmed that despite the conflict being over and a ceasefire being in place, the nation has not lowered its vigilance. This heightened state of alert follows escalated cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of incidents such as the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, which eventually led to a ceasefire agreement.
The ceasefire, achieved through direct engagement between Indian and Pakistani officials, was accepted by Islamabad without any preconditions or links to other issues. However, India has reportedly continued to enforce several punitive measures against its neighbor, even after Pakistan agreed to the terms for de-escalation.
