The newly appointed Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Idowu Ajanaku, has assured that the ministry, under his watch, will be repositioned as a vibrant organ of communication for the state.

Ajanaku, who resumed duty at the ministry on Wednesday, also said that the state’s information architecture and public engagement would be enhanced.
The new Information Commissioner, during a meeting with members of the ministry’s management team, led by the Administrative Secretary, Lanre Akarakiri, emphasised the need for unity among media stakeholders in the state, pledging to foster harmony and collaboration among media professionals.

Ajanaku, who recounted his experience working with former Lagos State Governors Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, said: “I rose from grass to grace, learning the ropes from scratch. I am ready to deploy every experience I have gathered to promote the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the enormous potential of Ondo State to the global community.

“This ministry will be lifted to a high pedestal. All hands must be on deck as we take on this collective task.” On his part, Akarakiri said: “You are coming on board at a time when the state’s information apparatus needs the touch of a seasoned professional. We believe your wealth of experience will bring the desired transformation.”

Director of Accounts, Dr Bola Oladipo, prayed for divine guidance for the commissioner, the ministry, and the state, while the Director of Finance and Administration, Etaname Ogunmoniwo, assured the commissioner of full cooperation of members of staff, saying: “We are ready to do the needful to move both the ministry and the state closer to the land of promise.”
