Olamide's Latest Album Achieves Chart Domination on Spotify and Apple Music

Renowned Nigerian rapper and music executive Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide, has achieved a groundbreaking feat by dominating Nigeria’s music streaming charts with his latest self-titled album, “Olamidé.” According to data released by Top Charts Africa on Saturday, all ten tracks from the YBNL boss’s new project simultaneously occupy the Top 10 positions on both Spotify and Apple Music.
This remarkable accomplishment makes Olamide the only Nigerian artiste in 2025, so far, to have every track from a single album simultaneously chart within the Top 10 across both prominent streaming platforms. The “Olamidé” album, his 12th studio effort, has garnered significant acclaim for its unique blend of street-hop, reflective lyrical themes, and a diverse range of international features, showcasing the artist’s significant growth and transformation after more than a decade in the music industry.
On Spotify, the lead track “Free,” featuring Seyi Vibez and Muyeez, holds the coveted number one spot. It is closely followed by “Billionaires Club,” a collaboration with Wizkid and Darkoo. Other tracks from the album making their mark on the Spotify chart include “99” featuring Daecolm, Asake, and Young Jonn; “Kai!” with Wizkid; “Hasibunallah,” “Duro,” “Luvaluvah,” “Prelude” featuring Fxrtune, “Special,” and “Indika” featuring Dr. Dre and SPINALL.
Meanwhile, on Apple Music, the track “Hybrid” has claimed the top position. Following closely are “Billionaires Club,” “99,” “Ruba,” “Kai!,” “Hasibunallah,” “Luvaluvah,” “Duro,” “Indika,” and “Prelude,” completing the Top 10. While “Free” continues its reign on Spotify, its notable absence from Apple Music’s Top 10 has sparked discussions and questions among listeners.
Olamide, who is also the founder of YBNL Nation, is widely recognized for his pivotal role in nurturing and launching the careers of several successful artistes, including Fireboy DML, Asake, Lil Kesh, and Adekunle Gold. His recent unparalleled success on streaming platforms further solidifies his standing as one of Africa’s most influential and impactful music figures, reinforcing his legacy in the continent's vibrant music scene.
