TJ Shorts

Panathinaikos Aktor Athens (GBL) landed 27-year old American (has also North Macedonian passport) 175cm point guard TJ Shorts (college: UC Davis) for upcoming season. Shorts has played for the last two years at Paris Basketball in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 36 games he was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 18.3ppg and recorded 2.4rpg and 8.0apg (leader !!!) last season. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-French League Import Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-French League Player of the Year and Finals MVP. Shorts also played 37 games in Euroleague where he averaged remarkable 19.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 7.3apg and 1.0spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. Shorts can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com Euroleague All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (4 times). He has been regularly called to North Macedonian Senior National Team since 2022.
Shorts has played previously professionally in Germany (Telekom Baskets, Hakro Merlins and Hamburg Towers) and Latvia (Ventspils).
Among many awards he received Eurobasket.com All-French Betclic Elite League Player of the Year award in 2024.
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Shorts graduated from University of California - Davis in 2019 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. He played also for Saddleback College for 2 years.
