NOA reiterated its commitment to sensitising citizens on safety measures, early warning signals, and collaborative efforts with relevant emergency agencies to mitigate the effects of such disasters.
Residents in flood-prone areas were encouraged to remain vigilant, adhere to official instructions, and take proactive steps to protect their lives and property.
“As a nation, we must continue to stand together in unity and compassion,” the statement reads.
NOA called on well-meaning Nigerians, government institutions, and humanitarian organisations to support recovery and relief efforts in Moukwa.
“Together, we can bring hope and healing to the affected community and work toward building a more resilient and prepared society,” the agency said.
