NGO names 15 global speakers for confab

The Advocates for Health and Rights of Women and Youths Initiative (ADHERI) has announced the lineup of 15 distinguished global speakers for its Women’s Rights in Human Rights Conference 2025.
The event is scheduled for March 7, at the Nigerian Insurers Association Tower, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Now in its third edition, the annual conference aims to emphasise women’s rights within the broader human rights discourse, advocating for gender equality, policy inclusion, and empowerment.
The event will feature experts from Nigeria, Africa, Asia, and North America, spanning various fields such as law, governance, media, human rights, and business.
Speakers include Susmita Adhikari – Secretary, Youth Initiative, Nepal, Omondi Henrick Isaiah – Chief Legal Officer, Nyakach Social Justice Center, Kenya, Professor D. Abdul Jabbar Khan – SAARC Human Rights Foundation, Bangladesh, Emana Shunnom – World Bank Communications and Governance, USA, Chibalani Katongo – Head, Protection Unit, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Rolake Akinkugbe Filani – Anchor, Business Week, Arise News, among others..
According to ADHERI, the event will be free and open to the public, but attendees must register in advance via https://bit.ly/WRHRConference2025. Beyond discussions, the conference will offer interactive sessions, including masterclasses, free wellness and medical screenings, body enhancement sessions, and sip-and-paint activities.
Speaking on the importance of the event, ADHERI’s Executive Director, Emmanuel Etim, emphasised the need for continuous dialogue on women’s rights, stating that gender equality is a key pillar of human rights and sustainable development.
