Next-gen Nissan X-Trail teased for the first time
We’ve been clamoring for the fourth-generation for quite some time already. It might not have been the biggest seller in its segment locally, but we reckoned the e-Power version had a good chance at success in the country. However, we’re not entirely sure if this model will still come to the Philippines
That’s because Nissan has released a teaser of what could be the model. Yes, it’s due for a full model change, apparently. After all, it’s been four years since the current model came out. So that’s four years of us asking for this compact crossover.

While it’s not the youngest crossover in its segment, we were a little surprised that Nissan is already giving a preview of what could be the all-new model. That said, we’re not expecting it to be released this year and likely touted for the
Per Nissan, the company is ensuring compatibility in all its models. With that, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the future Nissan X-Trail will get it. If anything, it might be the only powertrain option for it given the brand’s electrification efforts.
For design, it appears than the fourth-generation. The roof seems lower and adapts a more hatchback-like profile. The front end, on the other hand, gets the arrangement that’s likely to see in more Nissan models down the line. We’re expecting a massive update and upgrade of the interior as well.
Aside from the e-Power model, Nissan will also release a version of the X-Trail. However, it won’t be totally related to the upcoming fifth-gen model. It was also shown in the teaser released by Nissan, but it suspiciously looks like a . Well, the two brands are part of the Alliance, after all.
