The Sacramento Kings (NBA) signed 22-year-old French 7-1 center Maxime Raynaud for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with German Dennis Schroeder signing earlier. Raynaud just graduated from Stanford (NCAA) after playing there for the last four years. He helped the team reach the final of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award and make it to the NIT Sweet 16.
This summer he was drafted by the Kings in the second round (42nd overall). Raynaud just graduated from Stanford and it is his first full season in pro basketball.
He represented France at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece two years ago. His team won Gold and he had 14 ppg. Raynaud was voted to All-ACC Student-Athlete of the Year in 2025.
