Salt Lake City Stars inked experienced 35-year old ex-international 5-9 point guard Isaiah Thomas (college: Washington). It is actually his comeback to Stars as he has played here before. He played most recently at Phoenix Suns in the NBA. But in 7 games he recorded just 1.1ppg last season. He also played for Stars earlier that season.
In 2011 he was drafted by Sacramento Kings (NBA) in second round (60th overall). The former University of Washington standout is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Thomas was a member of USA Senior National Team in 2021.
He has played previously professionally in other NBA teams (New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets) and other NBA G League teams (SLC Stars, Cleveland Charge and Grand Rapids Gold).
Thomas won NBA Northwest Division championship title in 2019.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at SLC Stars.
