MP Jared Okello accuses Gachagua's team of hiring goons to heckle DP Kindiki in Nyeri

Nyando MP Jared Okello has accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's political faction of hiring goons to heckle Deputy President Kithure Kindiki in Nyeri.
DP Kindiki encountered a hostile crowd in Othaya, on Wednesday that chanted "one term" slogans across the fence where he was holding an empowerment event.
MP Okello opined that the heckling was not a coincidence, but rather an organized attack at the second in command by the "Wamunyoro team", a name linked to opposition leaders who have been holding meetings at Gachagua's home in Wamunyoro.
"It is not happenstance that this is happening a day after the President and his deputy received a thunderous welcome in Homa Bay. The Wamunyoro team is still nursing the post-impeachment disorder," he told Citizen TV on Thursday.
"They are so shocked that President Ruto can visit the lakeside and receive such a huge welcome."
He further argued that the youth who interrupted DP Kindiki were strategically positioned as they made their chants, an observation he claims has been a staple to identify intruders in Kenyan politics.
"You can see those few boys chanting Ruto one-term were outside the perimeter fence. That in politics is a testament of hired goons to go and cause mayhem," he added.
MP Okello holds that the "Wamunyoro team" is at pains to come to terms with President Ruto's second victory at the presidency, arguing that his growing support from other regions of the nation has been on a meteoric rise.
"What was conceived as President Ruto can actually be a one-term president, is coming to be the reverse that he has a second chance at the cherry," he said.
"Demonstrations and signs are out there that he has what it takes to move a particular section of the country in his support in replacement of Wamunyoro who have chosen to disconnect themselves with the country."
Gachagua has joined forces with political juggernauts Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka who head the People's Liberation Party (PLP) and Wiper Party, respectively.
Other leaders who have joined the force include former Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'i and DAP-K party's Eugene Wamalwa.
