At least 30 people tragically lost their lives in a terrible catastrophe that happened early on Monday, May 12, 2025, in the Assin Brasiako Dansame neighborhood.

Onua TV said that a vehicle moving from Assin Fosu towards Assin Praso collided with a Utong bus that was traveling from Kumasi to Cape Coast.

Around 7:00 a.m., the sad collision occurred, leaving the scene in a state of turmoil and widespread terror.

Numerous people were hurt or trapped as a result of the collision, which seriously damaged both cars.

In order to rescue survivors and get the injured to the closest medical facility, emergency reaction teams arrived on time and got to work.

After being transported to St. Francis Hospital in Assin Fosu, the victims got emergency medical care.

Families in the area are in grief and demanding more robust safety measures, despite the fact that the exact reason of the incident is still being investigated.

In response, local officials are calling for a comprehensive examination of local traffic safety procedures in order to stop future occurrences of this kind.

This deadly collision emphasizes how urgently better traffic laws, appropriate car upkeep, and increased driver awareness—particularly on major thoroughfares—are needed.

The terrible death toll is a sobering reminder of the risks on our roads.

The public is being urged to drive carefully, follow traffic laws, and put safety first at all times while investigations are ongoing.

We send our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those who perished in this tragic event.
