Mongolia - Nick-Banyard-ex-Platense-joins-Darkhan

Darkhan United (MBL) agreed terms with 31-year old American forward Nick Banyard (205cm-111kg-1994, college: UCF, agency: Octagon Europe). He joins another USA player Terran Petteway who is already in the roster.
He supposed to play at Platense in Argentinian La Liga. In 8 games he had 13.4ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.0bpg this season. The last season season he played at another Argentinian team Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda (also in La Liga). He also spent pre-season at Sopron KC (A Division) in Hungarian league.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit six different continents, while he played in fourteen different countries. Banyard tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Australia (NW Tasmania Thunder), Cyprus (Anorthosis), Finland (Korihait), Hungary, Japan (Watts), Kosovo (Rahoveci), Mexico (Rayos de Banyardrmosillo), Morocco (AMIB Casablanca), Portugal (Ovarense), Turkey (Kocaeli), UBA (GIE Maile M.), Dominican Republic (Immortals) and The Basketball Tournament (SH Alabama).
Among many awards he won United Cup Superior championship title in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention in 2023.
Banyard graduated from University of Central Florida in 2017 and it is his eighth season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Illinois State University, University of New Mexico.
