A video shows the moments police officers across Bradford undertook a wide-ranging operation resulting in 30 arrests.

On Wednesday, July 16, Bradford District Police officers conducted Op Jetshot, completing a series of pre-planned operations across the city's six policing neighbourhoods. Warrants relating to drugs were executed, while suspected domestic abusers, suspected shoplifters, and other retail crime offenders were arrested.

Included in the arrests made were offences such as stalking, arson, assault and burglary, with six people charged. A further two have been recalled to prison, while several were released on bail under investigation.

Meanwhile, a significant cannabis farm was found and seized in Station Road in Wyke, and officers in Keighley issued two court summons for vagrancy and three public space protection orders for drinking in a public place.

Officers also conducted a traffic operation at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre. They seized 15 vehicles for no tax, two uninsured vehicles, 40 traffic offences were reported for a range of reasons, and two drivers were reported to court for traffic offences.

One further vehicle was seized under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, which means officers can exercise greater power to seize the vehicle if they believe it is being used to cause alarm or distress or is being driven inconsiderately.

Chief Inspector Paul Wood, head of operational policing at Bradford District Police, said: "This operation has showcased the proactive work we have going on in the district every day to tackle crime in our neighbourhoods.

"We hope that by utilising the force's resources and having high visibility across the district, we will reassure communities that we are taking their concerns and issues about crime seriously. I hope this action shows that we are relentless in our pursuit of criminals and getting the right outcomes for victims of crime."
