Jodhpur, India - April 22, 2025 [WARNING: (Video contains) sensitive content] A speeding car struck a 5-year-old girl as she walked hand in hand with her mother, hurling her nearly 25 feet. The driver fled the scene, leaving the child injured and tossed by the violent impact. The incident occurred in the Airport Police Station area of Jodhpur city, in Jodhpur district, in northern India’s Rajasthan, on April 22. Visuals show a mother crossing the road holding her child's hand, an overspeeding car hit the child, throwing her far away. The car fled the scene. Locals quickly gathered, and the injured child, along with the mother, were seen leaving for the hospital in an auto-rickshaw. According to reports, the name of the girl was Jaishnavi. She has been admitted to Mathuradas Mathur Hospital in critical condition, currently under treatment in the ICU with multiple serious injuries. Locals, who rushed her to the hospital, said the impact was so intense that she was thrown nearly 25 feet. Based on CCTV footage, police have seized the vehicle and arrested the driver. Airport Police Station in-charge Suresh Chaudhary confirmed that a case is being registered and assured strict action against the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
