After Tottenham defeated Man United 1-0 to win the 2024/25 Europa League, Salah shared his reaction on X (formerly Twitter).
The Liverpool forward reminded football fans that Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou said he wins things in his second season. The Australian fulfilled his promise by winning the Europa League in his second season at the club.
"He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!" the Egyptian said.
The Tweet got nearly 500,000 likes and 11, 000 comments.
Postecoglou said in September that he wins trophies in his second season. It seemed that promise was never going to be fulfilled after a poor season.
"I'll correct myself - I don't usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing's changed," he said via BBC Sport. "I've said it now. I don't say things unless I believe them."
He always won trophies in his second season elsewhere.
For instance, the Australian tactician with Greek roots won the Australian title with both South Melbourne and Brisbane Roar, and the Japanese league with Yokohama F. Marinos, in his second season.
Tottenham may finish 17th with 21 Premier League defeats, yet will play Champions League football next season.
"It's hard to put into words the emotions. I'm super proud of the players...it's definitely been the toughest thing I've ever done without a shadow of a doubt. And I knew that going into it," Postecoglou said after the game via Football London.

"Lads, it’s Man United!"
"Dreadful night for Man United. Terrible in itself on the night, a predictable, slow performance that reflected their Premier League form but so damaging for the imagined rebirth medium-term under Amorim."
"Man United just let a European final completely pass them by. An outrageously pathetic, pointless performance. Shocking setup from Amorim. There was nothing there."
"So Amorim took United from 8th to 16th and went trophyless."
"I’m not ‘Amorim Out’ but I’ll be honest I’m not giving him any time, he has to start the season winning games and dominating teams."
Earlier, reported that Harry Maguire clashed with Tottenham defender Cristian Romero after the Europa League final.
The Man United defender exchanged words with Romero after the full-time whistle.
The two defenders clashed several times during the game, and Maguire didn't seem happy after the Argentine approached him at full-time.
