Migs Pascual makes MPBL debut with Sarangani after NCAA stint
MIGS Pascual played his first game as an MPBL player last Thursday following his decision to forego his playing years in San Sebastian to play for Sarangani.
Pascual had 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting from three-point range in Sarangani’s 95-85 loss to Pampanga in a game held at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna, quickly completing with holdovers Jeff Viernes and Kyt Jimenez.
The former Batang Gilas team captain signed up by Sarangani during the free agent window, paving the way to make his debut last Thursday.
Pascual, who also had a pair of rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 20 minutes of action during his MPBL debut, also said he is adjusting with the physicality in the professional league after his sting in the collegiate ranks.
“Mas mabilis ‘yung college basketball sa professional basketball. Nakapag-adjust naman ako dahil nag-focus ako sa strength and conditioning in preparation for the MPBL,” Pascual said.

Pascual said his familiarity with John Kallos, one of the coaches at Sarangani, who is also his mentor during his days with San Sebastian helped in the adjustment period.
“Siya rin ‘yung nag-tiwala sa akin nung nasa San Sebastian ako,” said Pascual of Kallos.
