Anne Burrell, the late celebrity chef, known for hosting Worst Cooks in America for 27 seasons, passed away suddenly at the age of 55.
Just two months before her death, Burrell expressed enthusiasm about potentially appearing on Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan.
In an April interview, Burrell was asked if she would be interested in cooking with the Duchess of Sussex on her lifestyle series. "Sure, of course. I'd go to the opening of an envelope. Why not cook with Meghan?" she responded.
Despite her willingness to appear on the show, Burrell admitted she wasn't particularly keen on Markle's famous jam from her As Ever lifestyle brand, saying, "I'm not really a jam girl."
The first series of With Love, Meghan featured celebrity chefs like Roy Choi and Alice Waters.
Netflix confirmed in March that the show had been renewed for a second series, which has already been filmed and will feature appearances from Chrissy Teigen and José Andrés.
Anne Burrell's family confirmed her death in a statement, describing her as a "beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend."
They added, "Anne's light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."
