Airbnb and Megan Thee Stallion have created a world of her favorite things.
On Tuesday, May 13, Airbnb debuted its Summer 2025 release, which includes an all-new app, the option to book services and reimagined personalized experiences. One of those experiences was created by the Grammy-winning artist, who tells PEOPLE she is excited to bring fans into her real-life dream anime “Otakuverse.”
“I really just like that they’re gonna get to experience all the things that I like and what I would be doing on a normal Megan Thee Stallion day,” she says. “And the hotties get to come do it with me!”

Named the “Otaku Hottie Quest" after her fan-favorite song, this experience will allow 12 guests to join Megan in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 12, where they will choose a cosplay outfit, take on a floor-is-lava course, compete in an Xbox game battle and learn to make Megan’s famous ramen — which she notes is “definitely” her favorite part.
Brian Chesky, the co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, says the singer was the perfect person to partner with and even reveals their unexpected connection that made it all happen.
“We've been working on this for over a year, and I'm friends with La La Anthony, and I told her, ‘I want to get the coolest people in the world to be hosting Airbnb — true artists,’ ” he recalls. “And she connected me with Megan Thee Stallion.”
“Megan is not only a great artist and musician, but she has just such a great sense of style. We wanted somebody who has a whole sense of a world they want to create,” he adds. “And that's, I think, what she was able to do.”

After putting so much work into the project, Megan admits that “it’s great” to finally be able to share it with Airbnb’s users.
“I was like, ‘Wow, we really did that!’ ” she says of seeing photos of the complete experience for the first time at the launch.
“She did such an amazing job,” Chesky gushes. “We had a great team, but really, she drove the creative vision of this. You guys did that. We really did that together. It was a great partnership.”

In addition to Megan, other celebrities such as Doechii, Patrick Mahomes, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, Chance the Rapper and more also collaborated on upcoming Airbnb Originals.
“I'm definitely going to Doechii’s,” Megan exclaims, teasing, “I'm pretty sure hers will be in a swamp, knowing her. That'll be really cool. I'm coming with an alligator.”
Some of the services the app will now offer include chefs, photography, spa treatments, personal training and hair and makeup — which Megan is looking forward to using.
“I need a full-length mirror [everywhere], and now I'm pretty sure we got that. I'm pretty sure they’re coming with all their mirrors,” she laughs, going on to joke that Airbnb should “hire me” if they need more suggestions of all the “girl essentials” guests might need.
