event in Taipei, MediaTek’s CEO and Vice Chairman Rick Tsai said, “6G technology will evolve with AI at its core, and MediaTek is in a strong position to lead this shift. With AI integration, we aim to bring advanced 6G capabilities to the world.”
The new chipset, designed with advanced AI capabilities, is set to power next-generation networks across the globe.Tsai also shared that MediaTek is actively collaborating with developers on nearly 240 AI models. Their GenAI technology is already enriching user experiences, particularly in smartphone photography. Additionally, the company is developing over 100 Internet of Things (IoT) models.
According to Tsai, AI-powered IoT is transforming applications in consumer, enterprise, and industrial sectors.
MediaTek also introduced its new Dimensity 9400+ chip, which enables on-device AI reasoning — pushing the boundaries of native intelligence. Furthermore, the company is enhancing Chromebook performance with its latest system-on-chip (SoC) lineup.
