Finally, it's the news Maccas fans have been waiting for, the addition of a new menu item.
After a successful trial that sent Aussies on a desperate hunt to find the elusive snack, McDonalds Australia will be adding the Chicken McWings to their menu permanently.
From Wednesday June 11, customers will be able to grab a pack of three or five pieces of Chicken McWings either by themselves or in a meal.
Chicken McWings were added to menus in some stores as part of a trial and Aussies went wild for them, clearly loving the new 'secret' addition to the menu.
And the signature Spicy Buffalo Sauce, the perfect accompaniment to the golden crispy wings, will also be returning.
There's also a new addition coming, creamy Ranch Sauce.
McDonalds says this is the beginning of a "golden era of chicken" at Macca's.
"It's been a while since we have added something new to the permanent menu, but the response to Chicken McWings during the trial made it clear: Aussies want more chicken options with their order," says Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald's Australia.
"Chicken McWings are now claiming their spot next to other legends like the McChicken, McSpicy, McCrispy and Chicken McNuggets."

Foodie influencer Nectorious Papi adds, "There's a lot of wings on the market, but Chicken McWings have totally won me over, and they're even better with Ranch Sauce and Spicy Buffalo Sauce.
"I love that Macca's is a one-stop shop now – you can grab all your faves in one order. My go-to combo is Chicken McWings with Ranch Sauce and a McFlurry to finish – it's seriously so good."
The newly-minted snack, which contains 100 per cent Aussie, RSPCA Approved chicken wrapped in a golden, crispy coating , created a frenzy earlier this year when it was considered a "secret" menu item during it's trial.
Aussie food content creator Adrian Widjy discovered the item at his local McDonald's in West Ryde, Sydney.
"It's thick, juicy, super savory and has a peppery kick," said Widjy.

Commenters were keen to try the treat, with many saying they are "running" to their nearest location.
Others shared that the McWings are not a new invention, with the snack item actually a part of menus in Asia for years.
"If it's as good as the McWings in Asia, run don't walk," commented one.
" Just like ayam goreng in Indonesian maccas," another added.
"Last time I had this was in Singapore!" one shared.
