The motorbike crashed into a parked car in Marshall Avenue in Middlesbrough

A 30-year-old man has died after a motorbike crash in a residential street.

The man was riding an off-road Husqvarna TE 20 bike when it hit a parked car on Marshall Avenue in Middlesbrough at about 20:30 BST on Sunday.

The rider was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later.

Cleveland Police have launched an appeal for information and asked witnesses or anyone with video footage of the crash to come forward.

Following the crash, a police cordon was erected around the scene and part of the road was temporarily closed.
